Köyde demiryolu ve karayolu ile ulasim saglanmakta olup köy yolu asfalttir. Köye telefon, saglik ocagi, köy evi ve Ilkögretim Okulu bulunmaktadir. Köy camiisi minarelidir. Köyde sürekli hizmet veren ve hemen her ihtiyaca cevap verecek bir market bulunmaktadir. Ayrica köyden Yildizeli ne ve Sivas a ulasimi saglayan dolmus seferleri yapilmaktadir. Köy Sivas Ankara karayoluna 4 km uzaklikta bulunmaktadir. Daha önce bozkir olan Dereler mevkii zamanin muhtari Kadir Köse tarafindan agaclandirilmis ve köyümüz orman köyü olmustur. Kadir Köse beye ayrica tesekkür ederiz. Kanalisasyon calismalari tamamlanmis, icme suyu sorunuda giderilmistir. Sandal köyü sinirlari icinde piknik yapilacak cok alan vardir. Özellikle Aksu mevkii hem icme sulari hemde dogal güzellikleri ile kesfedilmeyi bekliyor. Dogal güzellikleri ile Sandal Köyü ziyaret etmeye deger. Sandal da koyun yogurdunun tadi bir baskadir.
